About the role
Join our team as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time position involves working with adults and youth to provide evidence-based treatment and support them in achieving their life goals. The role requires collaboration with a care team and managing a caseload of 25-30 individuals and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based treatment to clients
- Collaborate with a care team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Manage a caseload of 25-30 individuals and families
- Document client progress and maintain confidentiality
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) by the state of New York or CASAC-T
- Excellent writing skills with ability to meet documentation timelines
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment models
- Ability to provide professional, confidential services in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or some college credits preferred
- Spanish fluency preferred
