Cart Attendant

About the role

As an entry‑level team member at Meijer, you will gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by the store, product handling, and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and understand what “above and beyond” customer service means.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist at the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with various departments, including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using various equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
