Cart Associate - PDX Portland International Airport- Part Time

Responsibilities

• Manage cart units and massage chairs, keeping equipment clean and in working order.
• Manually move carts throughout departures, baggage claim, garage, and rental car center to collection areas.
• Learn and practice safe work habits to ensure safety for self, co-workers, company equipment, airport property, passengers, and visitors.
• Provide general customer service to assist passengers navigating the airport.
• Perform the job in an honest, reliable, and professional manner.
• Effectively communicate with peers, management, and airport staff to improve business operations.
• Able to withstand undesirable weather conditions (wind, rain, cold temperatures) and adapt to operational changes.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Six months of successful work experience (unless currently a student).
• Ability to pass state, federal (FAA), and Homeland Security clearance requirements, as well as reference checks.
• Open scheduling availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and mathematical comprehension, highly desired.
• Displays confidence and competence in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable speaking to the general public.
• Ability to obtain an Airport Badge is required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 40 lbs.
• Push/pull 75-100 lbs. to move 15 carts simultaneously.
• Walk and stand for the duration of the shift.

Pay

$18.03 / hour

Schedule

Approximately 15 - 20 hours a week with some weekend and night work.
