Cart Associate - FAT Fresno-Yosemite International Airport, CA- Part Time

About the role

The Cart Associate position at Smarte Carte at Fresno-Yosemite International Airport is part-time, with evening and night shifts. This role is eligible for a $5 monthly cellular phone allowance.

Responsibilities

• Manually move carts throughout the airport, focusing on the international arrivals area.
• Return carts to the secure Federal Inspection Area daily.
• Clean carts and cart rental units as needed.
• Provide general customer service to assist passengers navigating the airport.
• Perform essential job functions while maintaining honesty, reliability, and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with peers, maintenance, and management to improve business operations.
• Adapt to operational changes.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Six months of successful work experience (or equivalent if currently a student).
• Pass state, federal (FAA), and Homeland Security clearance requirements and reference checks.
• Open scheduling availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and mathematical comprehension skills.
• Confidence and competence in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable speaking to the general public.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain an airport badge.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Skills

• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs., push/pull up to 75 lbs., and walk/stand for the duration of the shift.
• Able to withstand undesirable weather conditions (wind, rain, extreme temperatures up to 115 degrees).
