ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Completes pre-shift set-up and post-shift closing duties.
- Maintains a professional presence at cashier station at all times.
- Takes all carryout phone and walk-in orders.
- Reads orders back to the guests to ensure order accuracy.
- Explains the menu and specials to the guest.
- Suggestively sells appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts and beverage items.
- Knows all menu items and methods of preparation.
- Knows all pricing, coupon and discount information.
- Cheerfully accommodates the needs and requests of any guest.
- Makes follow-up phone calls to ensure guest satisfaction with carryout orders.
- Accurately collects and manages monies for food, beverage and items sold.
- Aids in packaging food, beverage and wares for the guest.
- Aids other team members in completing their assigned duties and tasks.
- Knows store information (hours of operation, phone numbers, managers, location).
- Restocks and replenishes essential items and supplies for the carryout waiting room.
- Continuously maintains a clean, organized, safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
- Maintains and strictly abides by sanitation/health regulations.
- Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
- Adheres to all restaurant standards, policies and procedures.
- In stores that offer Curbside Express:
- Knows how to properly explain the Curbside Express process.
- Knows how to give accurate directions to the restaurant and Curbside Express parking spaces.
- Delivers food and beverage to guest’s cars.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous customer relations experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to communicate with carryout staff to ensure complete service and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to compute bills, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
- Ability to make change, cash checks and issue receipts or tickets to guests.
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the restaurant and by telephone.
- Ability to think clearly and quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.
- Ability to provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and follow up.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to attain commanding knowledge of menu items and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to use the Point-of-Sale System in an accurate and speedy manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand or walk constantly, 100% of shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, push and pull materials throughout shift.
