The Carrier Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the growth of Hawk Logistics by:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers
- Identifying growth opportunities by analyzing available freight and carrier capacity
- Providing expert insights to the Manager of 3PL Operations
- Developing and maintaining carrier rates and applying pricing strategies
- Negotiating rates to provide the best possible solutions for customers
- Maintaining carrier compliance with company, state, and national standards and regulations
- Monitoring FMCSA regulations and staying informed of any changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent industry experience
- Required: 3+ years experience in full-cycle Freight Brokerage/Third Party Logistics (3PL)
- Prior experience in a Start-Up environment preferred
- Notable Transportation/Logistics Dispatching foundation
- Experience with Flat-Bed and/or Hazardous Materials
- Experience with Carrier Compliance and DOT regulations
