About the role
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design solutions for large cross-functional business initiatives, ensuring seamless customer experiences across physical stores and online platforms.
- Analyze retail trends and external market research to inform future strategies, creating simple and scalable solutions for all storefronts.
- Represent business and technology interests throughout the design, development, and deployment of new systems and carrier integrations.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization (Engineering, Product Management, UI/UX Design, Partnerships, Operations) to design and execute key projects and priorities.
- Provide clear, actionable business requirements for engineering and product/UX teams to build new software.
- Coordinate funding, release schedules, issue resolution, resource alignment, and quality standards for major product rollouts.
- Negotiate and produce joint product roadmaps with Carrier Partner teams.
- Travel up to 25% (domestic) to support face to face interactions and partner meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a program management role within the consumer products, retail, consulting, or telecom industry.
- Experience in telecom carrier integrations, third-party payment solutions, or affordability solutions (including loan products, payment types, and trade-in programs).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience leading sophisticated technology projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Expertise in writing business requirements and collaborating with engineering and design teams to deliver robust technology solutions.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Successful track record of collaboration with software engineering teams to reduce technical debt and migrate to new architectures.
- Strong ability to clarify business problems, identify process/user experience improvements, and represent business interests in solution development.
