About the role
KLOVER is a commercial carpentry subcontractor and manufacturer of prefabricated wall panel systems founded in 1991. We exist to reinvent the way construction is done. Our mission is uncommon and requires trade professionals with uncommon capabilities.
The Carpenter Panel Installer installs a variety of Light Gauge Metal Wall Panels including load bearing light gauge metal wall panels, curtainwall light gauge metal wall panels; structural steel and other products offered as add-ons to Klover Wall Panel Systems. This position must be familiar with the tools of the trade and can read, follow, and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and read height, width, length, and other proportions with a tape measure
- Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be put in place
- Fabricate or alter parts using grinders, sawzalls, shears, hammers, punches, or drills
- Join materials with PAFs, nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure
- Check work along the way to ensure it meets specification and quality standards
- Install/use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes
- Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
- Work at heights with several elevated platforms
- Keep work area clean and productive
- Always exercise the proper use of PPE
- Set up and safely use company equipment
- Maintain welding certification through maintenance logs and supervisor observation
Requirements
- Participation in a secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum
- 1+ year experience with panel or structural steel installation
- 1+ year experience with stick welding (optional)
- Knowledge and understanding of construction safety devices and PPE
- Rigging and Signaling experience is a plus
- Carpentry knowledge

Work Environment
