About the Role

Pay
$5,157.00 - $6,179.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, Full Time. In-office work location in Fresno County.
Responsibilities
Detailed responsibilities are provided in the attached Duty Statement. Key duties include:
- Performing journey-level carpentry work in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, structures, and related facilities.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- May supervise or lead lower-level carpenters or helpers.
Requirements
- Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application (STD Form 678) or the Electronic State Employment Application through your CalCareer Account.
- Resume detailing all relevant experience and education.
- Authorization to Release Information Form (PO-299).
- If using education, apprenticeship, or licenses to meet minimum qualifications, include copies of formal (unofficial) transcripts, degree, or related documents.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification for Carpenter II. Eligible candidates include:
- Individuals currently in the classification.
- Those eligible for lateral transfer or reinstatement.
- Candidates with list or LEAP eligibility.
- Individuals in the process of obtaining list eligibility.
- SROA and/or Surplus candidates (priority given).
