About the role
The vacancy is with the Department of Health located at the Kalaupapa Settlement in Kalawao County. Kalaupapa is a small peninsula on the north shore of Molokai, severely isolated with limited access.
Responsibilities
- A Carpenter I independently performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles as a regular and continuing work assignment.
- May supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers assisting in the work.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of work experience in performing a variety of rough and finished carpentry work.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Qualifications
- Legal Authorization to Work - Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Skills
- Must possess the ability to perform a wide variety of skilled carpentry work.
- Ability to supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers assisting in the work.
