Carpenter - AF1851 - Full Time

About the role

The Carpenter at Sanford Health is responsible for all carpentry tasks and assists the construction and facilities services staff with all aspects of constructing and remodeling. This position requires familiarity with tools and blueprints, knowledge of codes and specifications, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Remodels and repairs doors, knobs, latches, and wall-mounted equipment.
• Builds and installs cabinets and other fixtures.
• Assists with flooring, ceiling installation, and various types of millwork.
• Works in patient/resident care areas, taking extra precautions to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A trade or vocational school education is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required, and a good driving record is necessary.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in patient/resident care areas is beneficial.

$27.06 - $35.66 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, day shifts.
