Carpenter - Formwork/ Concrete

Location: Topeka, KS

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations to create a safe working environment.
• Follow instructions provided by a Foreman regarding daily tasks and project-specific expectations.
• Safely work around heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and cranes.
• Safely operate manlifts to perform tasks at various heights.
• Safely perform rigging and signaling when lifting items.
• Inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Operate construction instruments to achieve proper layout and elevation.
• Build and/or erect formwork and falsework for walls, columns, decking, stairs, etc.
• Work as a team member placing concrete, driving piling, and installing light gauge steel framing.
• Read, interpret, and follow plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Problem-solve and provide solutions to common jobsite issues.
• Communicate effectively with others on the jobsite both verbally and using hand signals.
• Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a valid email address and phone number.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors in all types of environments.
• Ability to bend, kneel, walk on rough terrain, and climb in and out of equipment and work areas.
• Willingness to travel periodically.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
