Carpenter Foreman - Gilbert, AZ

Provide leadership, management, and supervision for all types of concrete work in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Coordinate craft personnel and resources to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and efficiently. Collaborate with other foremen or crews to maintain workflow and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and support all company policies, procedures, and "The Sundt Way" for supervised work and personnel.
• Ensure crew member evaluations and performance agreements are conducted.
• Maintain accuracy of time sheets, quantity, and productivity reports.
• Champion and promote a Continuous Improvement culture within the crew.
• Conduct or participate in safety, quality, production, and planning meetings.
• Develop one-week and daily work plans; provide feedback on the 6-week schedule and understand the critical path.
• Establish weekly production goals and execute work on time and under budget.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure high-quality work performance.
• Foster positive working relationships with other foremen and crews.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to crew members to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years' experience in the relevant construction market with an in-depth understanding of the trades being supervised.
• Set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity for the crew.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
• Frequent reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
• Limited use of telephone, computer systems, email, or other electronic devices for communication.
• Movement in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• Frequent use of hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
• Climbing and maintaining balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

This is a safety-sensitive role involving tasks that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others, such as operating equipment, handling hazardous materials, or working with potentially flammable/combustible materials.
