About the Role

As a Carpenter Foreman at MasTec Civil in St. Augustine, Florida, you will be the backbone of our site operations—driving daily production, championing safety, and keeping crews organized and on schedule. You will supervise and coordinate construction workers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards. This role requires advanced skills in cost control, scheduling, specifications, and claims management, along with expertise in handling documentation such as timesheets, production reports, labor reports, and man-hour reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting for weather, supply, delivery, or personnel changes.
• Conduct daily safety meetings with all crew members at the start of each job activity.
• Clarify and explain construction means and methods to crew members as needed.
• Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
• Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
• Emphasize safe tool, machinery, and equipment use, including training on safety gear and procedures.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
• Report project status to supervisors regularly.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining good housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and oversee diverse teams.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding drawings and plans.
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements for construction and building sites.
• Strong knowledge of quality building practices and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with DOT specifications and requirements (for Roadway and MOT operations).
