Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Carpenter Foreman for the PR3 Volume 3 - Pumping and Conveyance project in Arcadia, FL.

About the role

The Carpenter Foreman will supervise, coordinate, and schedule a crew of 3-15 construction employees daily. Responsibilities include overseeing carpentry operations such as construction and installation of structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines. This role supports commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise crews within a specific area or portion of the project
  • Schedule and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers while communicating with other trades
  • Read specifications and plans to determine construction requirements or plan procedures
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures/equipment using measuring tools
  • Record personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports
  • Assist workers engaged in construction activities using hand tools or other equipment
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and specifications
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a drug-free work environment
  • Train and supervise workers on company policies, safety practices, regulations, and procedures

Requirements

  • 5 years of Construction Foreman experience preferred
  • 5-8 years of verifiable construction experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; experience managing crews and subcontractors preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Ability to read and understand work plans
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds/ladder
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Good manual dexterity; may require standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

This is a full-time position within the Water Division.
