Carpenter

Competitive wages with an insurance allowance. Work on the Camp Lejeune team serving areas of eastern NC including Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro, and Morehead City.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain, and repair various types of facilities and structures, interior to exterior, including floors, ceilings, vinyl siding, soffits, roofs, cabinets, tables, benches, doors, and door closures
• Work with materials such as wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, ceramic tile, and paint
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Assess tasks and determine solutions including cost, time, and materials
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Mechanically inclined with the mindset of making alterations and repairs
• Basic understanding of fascia and trim with fabrication skills
• Work well in a team to complete tasks
• Adaptable and flexible in work situations
• Prioritize tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in the carpentry trades
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Available for overtime, evenings, and weekends
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
• Lifting and adjusting heavy objects
• Contact with sharp, hot, and/or very cold supplies and equipment
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions

Pay

$29.93/hour plus $15.25/hour fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k.
