Competitive wages with an insurance allowance. Work on the Camp Lejeune team serving areas of eastern NC including Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro, and Morehead City.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain, and repair various types of facilities and structures, interior to exterior, including floors, ceilings, vinyl siding, soffits, roofs, cabinets, tables, benches, doors, and door closures
- Work with materials such as wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, ceramic tile, and paint
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Assess tasks and determine solutions including cost, time, and materials
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills
- Mechanically inclined with the mindset of making alterations and repairs
- Basic understanding of fascia and trim with fabrication skills
- Work well in a team to complete tasks
- Adaptable and flexible in work situations
- Prioritize tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in the carpentry trades
- Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Available for overtime, evenings, and weekends
- U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
- Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
- Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
- Lifting and adjusting heavy objects
- Contact with sharp, hot, and/or very cold supplies and equipment
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions

Pay
$29.93/hour plus $15.25/hour fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k.
