Job Description
- Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication and repair of wooden structure and fixtures.
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
- Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
- Complete assigned carpentry tasks with quality workmanship.
- Operate a variety of power/manual tools and equipment used in skilled carpentry.
- Perform heavy physical labor.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Able to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Able to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to perform basic math.
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside.
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
- Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
