Carpenter 2

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced carpentry, including complex framing, formwork, and structural components.
• Complete specialized finish work such as cabinetry, trim, molding, doors, hardware, and installation of building specialties.
• Understand work meets building codes, project specs, and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor junior carpenters and laborers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant worksite.
• Support other crews and complete additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Additional vocational or technical training in carpentry is preferred. 3+ years of practical experience in carpentry, or a proven track record of successful project completion, is required.
• Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Expertise in installing trim, molding, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with tools and equipment (saws, nail guns, drills, sanders, etc.). Strong attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and in a team, meeting project deadlines. Familiarity with commercial building codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations. Understanding of general commercial construction build sequence.
• Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with a wide range of materials and advanced carpentry techniques. Prior work enforcing quality standards on commercial projects. OSHA 10 Certification Equipment Operator Certification Bilingual Ability to train Ability to help with takeoff from blueprints.
