Carpenter

Position Summary

Perform a wide range of duties to safely and efficiently produce precast concrete products of the highest quality standards. Disassembly of forms. All other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Produce wood forms and Styrofoam block outs for concrete production using a wide variety of machinery including but not limited to table saws, radial saws, and staple guns
• Read shop/engineering drawings and construct forms per those specifications
• Move and assemble forms at pouring sites
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety regulations on the shop floor
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of hand tools and power equipment (e.g. table saw, chop saw, miter saw, hand saw, nail gun, hot-wire)
• Ability and willingness to learn and be trained
• Some construction experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Must work safely and be team oriented
• Good attendance and positive attitude
• Knowledge and skills to use basic tools
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
• Understands and can apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication & division)
• Must be 18 years in age or older
• Must pass pre-employment screening
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
• Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
