Carmel Mountain Ranch - Senior Teller
Compensation: $22.00 - $23.50 an hour, plus incentives. Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations permitted by law. This position is part-time.
About the role
As a Senior Teller, you'll serve as both a teller and platform representative, providing members with comprehensive financial support and guidance. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, educating members on financial products, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities
- Member Service & Relationship Building
- Welcome and engage every member with a warm, professional attitude.
- Process a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including:
- Deposits
- Withdrawals
- Transfers
- Loan payments
- Wire transfers
- Official checks
- Cash advances
- Gift cards
- Open new accounts, shares, and credit card accounts.
- Conduct needs-based conversations to identify products and services that best fit members' financial goals.
- Educate members on digital banking tools and self-service channels.
- Follow up with members to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional opportunities to help.
- Support branch and individual sales goals through referrals and cross-selling that genuinely benefit members.
- Operations & Compliance
- Balance cash drawers and support end-of-day branch balancing activities.
- Prepare account-opening and credit card documentation accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Protect member information and company assets by following all security procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of products, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA compliance.
- Assist team members with research and resolving balancing discrepancies.
- Participate in branch meetings, community events, and sales initiatives.
Requirements
- Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least:
- 12 months of retail and/or customer service experience, or
- 6 months of experience in a financial institution or similar industry.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Cash handling experience.
- Sales or cross-selling experience.
- Experience in a retail banking or credit union environment.
- Familiarity with Symitar.
