Carman - Railcar Repair Technician

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing railcars to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain railcars according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Perform routine inspections and repairs on railcars to prevent downtime.
• Work with other maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in railcar maintenance or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using railcar maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor.

Skills

• Knowledge of railcar maintenance procedures and regulations.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
