Cargo Risk Agent

Position Overview

Determine appropriate action for high value cargo inspections.

Essential Functions

• Determine and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risk during cargo handling and transit of high value cargo.
• Support mitigation and salvage efforts as directed by management.
• Document inspection findings and risk assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and management regarding cargo risk concerns.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information.
• Provide detailed reports and updates to management regarding claim status and resolution strategies.
• Maintain records of claims, inspections, and resolutions for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Maintain awareness of cargo security protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cargo claims handling and loss prevention.
• Assist in identifying trends or recurring issues that may indicate systemic risk.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years experience in a business related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Strong communication skills and human relations skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
