Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring and moving the client throughout their home
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
• Prepare meals and snacks according to client instructions
• Accompany the client on errands or medical appointments
• Provide bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving assistance
• Give medication reminders
• Assist with prescribed range‑of‑motion exercises
• Provide dementia care
• Engage in companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Ability to lift/move 50 lb without assistance
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English as required for the job
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
