About the role

Senior Helpers is seeking caregivers to support seniors in Independence, MO, ensuring they remain independent and safe at home. This role offers flexible shifts, on-the-job training, healthcare benefits, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Personal care activities including hygiene, ambulation, cooking, medication reminders, running errands, and light housekeeping.
• Companionship and conversation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Household management.
• Walking assistance.
• Eating assistance.
• Errands.
• Transportation using either the client's or your own vehicle.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Laundry and linen changing.
• Bathing assistance.
• Dressing assistance.
• Toileting.
• Medication reminders.
• Monitoring Alzheimer’s and Dementia clients (in sleep-over or live-in situations).

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a phone.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation with valid insurance.
• A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• Previous caregiver experience is a plus, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
• A current CPR certificate is recommended but not required.
• The ability to read, speak, and understand English is necessary for the job.
