About the role

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is looking for compassionate, dependable caregivers and CNAs to provide personalized, non-medical home care for seniors in Sullivan’s Island and nearby Charleston-area communities. Our caregivers do more than provide assistance — they help seniors remain comfortable, safe, and independent at home. Pay

$15–$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

• PRN/Part-Time employment
• Flexible scheduling based on client needs and available assignments
• 4–12 hour shifts
• Day, evening, weekend, and occasional overnight opportunities
• Full-time hours not guaranteed; opportunities for additional hours may be available depending on client needs and assignments

Responsibilities

• Personal care and hygiene
• Ambulation, mobility, and transfers
• Medication reminders
• Light meal preparation and dietary needs
• Transportation to appointments, pharmacies, shopping, and outings
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship and social engagement
• Following individualized care plans
• Recognizing and reporting changes in a client’s condition

Requirements

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
• Experienced in providing hands-on personal care
• Comfortable working independently in a client’s home
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staff
• Able to follow care plans and safety procedures
• Calm and dependable during unexpected situations
• Preferred qualifications:
• One year of professional in-home caregiving experience
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience
• CPR certification
• Experience with DME such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer benches, or walkers
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• No CNA license required
• Experienced caregivers are encouraged to apply.
