Caregiver (Starting at $18/hr, $20/hr for CNA)
About the role
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational, and therapy services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We operate two residential centers in Geneva and Elgin, housing nearly 178 residents. Additionally, we offer the Marklund Day School for children and young adults with multiple medical needs and autism, and our Community Day Services program serves adults residing at Marklund and those from the community.
Responsibilities
- Aid in day program activities to support residents' goal achievement
- Groom residents by brushing hair, teeth, and shaving
- Assist residents with bathing, incontinence care, and dressing
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Support residents with mobility needs, including transfers between wheelchair and bed
- Communicate with the healthcare team
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Caregiver experience helpful but not required (paid on-site training provided)
- Ability to perform essential job functions and meet functional and environmental requirements
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care

Qualifications

Pay
Starting base rate of $18/hr with additional differentials for PMs ($2) and weekends ($1).
Schedule
Flexible full-time, part-time, and on-call shifts available.
