Caregiver / Personal Attendant / Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role
Thrive Support Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Caregiver / Personal Attendant to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. This rewarding role involves empowerment through helping with daily tasks and fostering independence.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, meal planning and preparation, and medication administration
- Assist with community outings
- Perform light housekeeping
Requirements
- At least one (1) year experience working as a caregiver or in-home aide, preferably with adults with developmental disabilities
- High level of accountability and dependability
- Ability to provide hands-on care and support including bathing, dressing, changing depends, and assisting with medication
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid California Driver License
- Access to reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance covering $100,000-$300,000 bodily injury liability
- Ability to pass DOJ fingerprinting/criminal background check
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain TB test result
Pay
$19.00-$24.00 per hour
$600 hiring bonus ($200 after the first full week working with clients and $400 after the completion of 90 days).
