Caregiver (PCA/CNA) PT/PRN Union County, NC

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including mobility, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and support, engaging in activities and conversation.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of client care.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, team members, and management.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying resident rooms, and maintaining common areas.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
• Foster a caring, respectful environment that upholds each resident’s dignity and individuality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical devices.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Current CNA certification on the NC registry.
• NC Medication Aide certification for Adult Care Homes.
• Previous experience working with older adults or individuals living with dementia (e.g., home health, assisted living, or other long‑term care settings).
