About the role
Professional Case Management, a leader in home healthcare, is seeking Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to provide in-home healthcare services to veterans and individuals in need.
Responsibilities
- Create your own flexible schedule to balance work with other commitments.
- Build one-on-one relationships with patients in a comfortable home setting.
- Enhance clients' health, quality of life, and peace of mind through personalized care.
- Work with a supervising Registered Nurse to follow a client's care plan.
- Assist with non-skilled personal care tasks such as bathing, skin care, hair care, and feeding.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks like light cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Ensure client confidentiality and dignity while promoting personal safety and a safe environment.
- Follow emergency procedures and promptly report incidents to the RN.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving, open to training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respect for individual, cultural, and spiritual differences.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with clients, families, and agency personnel.
- Pass a 2-step TB skin test and provide proof to HR.
- Have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED and neat, clean personal appearance.
- Be free from health issues that could be harmful to clients, yourself, or coworkers.
- Have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in good condition.
