Caregiver - PCA

About the role

Professional Case Management is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to provide in-home healthcare services for veterans. You will build one-on-one patient relationships, enhance clients’ health, quality of life and peace of mind, and create your own schedule to attend school, travel, volunteer, or enjoy time with family and friends.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care prepared by the supervising Registered Nurse based on the client’s needs and encourage client independence while ensuring confidentiality and dignity.
• Assist clients with non‑skilled personal care: bathing, skin care, hair care, nail care, mouth care, shaving, dressing, feeding, ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, medication reminding, respiratory care, homemaking, and respite care.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks: light housekeeping, meal preparation, dishwashing, bed making, laundry, attending medical appointments, and shopping.
• Follow emergency procedures; report any accident, injury, or significant change in the client’s condition to the RN as soon and as safely possible.

Requirements

• Emotional and cognitive maturity to maintain good working relationships with clients, families, and agency personnel.
• Free from health problems that could be injurious to client, self, or coworkers; must provide required documentation.
• Must have a 2‑step TB skin test and submit proof to Human Resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Neat, clean personal appearance.
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance meeting state/agency requirements and in good repair.

Pay

Standard rate: $15.00 – $17.50 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts are 8 am–12 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays; you create your own schedule within those windows.
