Caregiver - Part-time

About the role

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

Essential duties include:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Personal Hygiene, Mobility Assistance, Meal Preparation
• Emotional Support and Companionship: Providing Emotional Support, Companionship, and social interactions
• Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs
• Other responsibilities: answering resident calls, maintaining confidentiality, and maintaining a safe work environment

Additional tasks include assisting with the orientation of new residents and staff, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

Preferred experience includes working as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and/or Assisted Living Facility. Requirements include:

• Ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation
• Must be 18 years or older
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests

Pay and Schedule

Part-time evening shift (2pm-10pm) with a wage of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Location: Avamere at South Hill, 3708 East 57th Ave, Spokane, WA 99223.
