Caregiver - Part Time

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team, providing assistance to individuals in their daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Escort clients to appointments and run errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client's health status.
• Implement behavior management techniques when necessary.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including:
  • Bathing/Dressing
  • Meal preparation/feeding
  • Medication reminders
  • Walking/exercise assistance
  • Light housekeeping
  • Errands/shopping
  • Toileting
  • Non-medical help

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in caregiving (required).
• Valid ID and Social Security Card (required).
• Driver’s License (preferred).
• Ability to commute or relocate to the North/Western Suburbs reliably before starting work (required).
• Experience in assisted living or senior care environments.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Background in childcare, social work, or related fields (helpful).

Skills

• Proficiency in caregiving techniques.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
• Familiarity with home care systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competence in meal preparation for special dietary needs.

Pay

$16.50 - $18.00 per hour. Bonus opportunities available.

Schedule

• 4-hour or 8-hour shifts.
• Day shift, morning shift, or on-call availability.
• Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends or weekends as needed.

Openings are based in the following areas: Glenview, Evanston, Northbrook, Highland Park, Skokie, Niles, Chicago, Park Ridge, Lake Bluff, Libertyville, Lake Forest, Oakbrook, Forest Park, Riverside, Downers Grove, Westmont, and surrounding suburbs.
