About the role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, senior clients rely on you to help them manage daily living tasks within their homes. You provide cheerful companionship and assist with various responsibilities such as laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. Clients trust you to provide non-medical care in a manner that preserves their dignity, including helping with bathing and personal hygiene. You may also provide caregiving services for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments, requiring patience and kindness. At the end of each shift, you submit accurate documentation to keep the office updated on any changes to your clients’ care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
- Provide non-medical care while preserving clients' dignity
- Help clients with bathing and personal hygiene
- Provide caregiving services for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Submit accurate documentation at the end of each shift
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant License
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Reliable transportation
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 2+ years of home care experience is a plus (caring for a loved one counts)
Skills
