Caregiver - Home Health Aide - Non-Medical

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in aspects of their daily life as indicated by their care plan.
• Aid in maintaining clients' independence.
• Receive training and tools to be successful in the role, including ADL training and PPE access.
• Participate in CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training.
• Demonstrate understanding of and encourage the independent living philosophy.
• Complete a competency examination and annual re-certification course.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information as per HIPAA regulations.
• Complete instrumental activities of daily living according to the client's Plan of Care.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• A High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effective communication skills with Client Care Managers.
• Completion of Caregiver Orientation and satisfactory completion of JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program.
• Satisfactory 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.
• U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
