Caregiver/HHA Hattiesburg/Petal

Responsibilities

• Aid clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and remind clients of their medication schedules.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks like laundry and linen changes.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
• Maintain vigilance for any changes in clients' health or behavior and promptly report these to supervisors.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with elderly clients is preferred.
• Understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other memory-related conditions is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Caregivers must be compassionate, patient, and attentive to clients with physical or cognitive limitations.
• A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug screening before employment.
