Caregiver/HHA $27/hr

About the Role

Join BAYADA’s personal care and companionship team to provide one-on-one support that helps adults stay safe and independent at home. You’ll follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse, delivering personal care, household support, and companion care in Chittenden County. This role offers part-time or full-time 8-hour shifts with a focus on building meaningful client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Support range of motion exercises and ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices).
• Provide medication reminders.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of professional home health or patient care experience (exceptional applicants without experience may be considered and trained).
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
• Commitment to being present and providing quality care with empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
• Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
