About the role

Responsibilities

• Aid residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as outlined in their service and care plan, including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and continence.
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining their self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Report any observed or suspected changes in residents' condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, adhering to established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues and other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; training provided to the right candidate.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.

Requirements

• Pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Must be able to work in a senior living environment and assist individuals with varying levels of mobility and ability.
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.

Pay

$16.90 - $17.50 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

5 days a week, 6:00am-2:00pm.
