About the role
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team in our Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI. In this role, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and offer emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians’ orders; monitor and document residents’ medication intake accurately.
- Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
- Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
- Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Every other weekend availability is required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or ID.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and arrive on time for every shift.
