Caregiver for Behavioral Group Home
About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in a group home setting with personal hygiene
- Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs
- Engage in activities that promote socialization and community integration
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement care plans
- Document daily activities and progress in participant records
Requirements
- At least 6 months-1 year experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities
- Must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as verbal and physical aggression, running away, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications preferred
Qualifications
- Valid CA Driver's license with a driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state)
- Pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks
- Pass a pre-employment physical and TB test
Skills
- Behavioral de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of client rights and advocacy
- Strong communication skills

Pay
Starting range is currently at $18.10/hour up to $20/hour (pay rate determined by which group home location you work in), plus annual increases, Pay on Demand, Full benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week, including health benefits and 401(k) with a 3% company match.
Schedule
All positions require working at least one weekend shift (some schedules include both weekend days) on a regular basis.
