Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required, and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred
• Good communication skills and active listening with clients, families, and staff
• Ability to remain calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening
• No CNA license required

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
• Provide transportation to and from shops, pharmacy, or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Skills

• One year proven experience as an in-home caregiver (preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as Hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker (training available)
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response; CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation

$15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time; days, evenings, weekends, or overnights available. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours. You choose the days or times you are willing to work.

Locations

Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties and surrounding areas in South Carolina.
