Caregiver - CNA/HHA/PCA (Hartford)

About the role

Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home seeks to hire a Homemaker Caregiver to assist clients with various daily activities and provide emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene and grooming care
• Toileting, ambulation assistance
• Meal preparation for nutritional needs
• Reporting changes in clients' condition
• Routine housekeeping and home management
• Recording and submitting care plans
• Assisting with therapy exercises
• Participating in case conferences
• Attending in-service education sessions
• Using computer software and smartphone for required education
• Providing positive and professional customer service
• Thinking critically and escalating issues as needed

Requirements

• Two years of continuous work experience
• One year of previous patient care experience (may vary by work area)
• New Grad CNA's are welcome
• Current and valid Driver’s License in good standing
• Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a background check

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
