Caregiver / CNA (All Shifts)

About the role

Overture Home Care is seeking flexible caregivers to provide one‑on‑one care for seniors in the South Dallas area (including Waxahachie, Red Oak, DeSoto, Lancaster and surrounding communities). Caregivers work in clients’ homes, hospitals, rehabilitation or assisted‑living facilities, delivering hands‑on assistance and following individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on care: bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, transportation, errands, and other assigned duties.
• Transfer clients using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and proper body mechanics.
• Assist with medication administration, G‑tube feedings, tracheostomy care, wound care, etc., under RN supervision.
• Read and follow each client’s care plan and assessments to deliver consistent quality care.
• Adhere to company policies (dress code, time off, call‑out, etc.).
• Clock in and out for every shift using the appropriate systems.
• Observe clients for changes in behavior or health and notify appropriate personnel when needed.

Work Environment

Services are provided in clients’ homes and may also occur in hospital, rehabilitation, or assisted‑living settings. Caregivers must be willing to work hourly, complete at least one shift per week, and travel up to 25 miles to reach assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Love for the senior community and a compassionate, upbeat attitude.
• Strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 20‑30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation (car insurance preferred but not required).
• Willingness to maintain skills through continued education.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test per company standards.

Pay

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time position; caregivers must work at least one shift per week and be willing to travel up to 25 miles for assignments.
