Caregiver

About the role

As a Caregiver at REM Community Services (part of the Sevita family), you’ll provide community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll assist people with personal hygiene, support individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs, and help participants achieve developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Each day, you’ll develop meaningful relationships, take initiative to integrate participants into the community, and experience a mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and complex care needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals (e.g., budgeting, exercise, nutrition).
• Foster meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to include participants in community activities and favorite pastimes.
• Work collaboratively with a team to ensure participant growth and well-being.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Valid Driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
