Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Aid with light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities
- Observe and report client's daily activities and changes in client condition or behavior
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- HCA registration required or willingness to obtain (assistance available)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)
- Successfully pass all pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check
- Drug screening may be required where permitted by law
- Current TB clearance (within the past 90 days) or willingness to obtain prior to employment, in accordance with California requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including assisting clients with mobility, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds when appropriate
- Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members (bilingual abilities are a plus)
