About the role
Bloch’s Pathways is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Part-Time Caregivers to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Caregiver helps clients build independence, participate in daily activities, maintain personal wellness, and achieve their individual goals while promoting dignity, respect, and choice.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and support to individuals in their home and community settings.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Personal hygiene and grooming
- Dressing and personal care routines
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Mobility and safety assistance
- Household routines and organization
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills.
- Assist with community participation, appointments, errands, recreational activities, and social engagement.
- Encourage clients to make choices and participate in decision-making.
- Follow individualized service plans and support goals established for each client.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and document daily activities, progress, and any changes in client needs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and support teams.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow all health, safety, and agency policies.
- Provide crisis prevention and positive behavior support as trained.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement as required by state regulations.
- Compassionate attitude and desire to support individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
- Ability to pass required background screening.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous caregiving, direct support, healthcare, or personal care experience preferred but not always required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist clients with daily activities and mobility needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform household support tasks.
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency or challenging situations.

Schedule
- Part-time position
- Flexible shifts available based on client needs and caregiver availability
- May include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on scheduling needs.
