Career Specific Vocational Training Instructor Aide

Core Responsibilities

• Aid instructor by providing individual and small group instruction to students
• Monitor student’s behavior to ensure safety and appropriate interactions
• Support students with physical and medical needs
• Report student’s progress to instructor as needed
• Provide positive and constructive feedback to students
• Assist with classroom/on-site management and organization
• Complete all program documentation in a timely manner
• Collect data and complete reports as directed by supervisor
• Completes incident report forms as needs arise
• Completes mileage sheets per Agency standards when applicable

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in human service field preferred
• 1 year experience working with people with a developmental disability or mental health diagnosis required
• Knowledge of basic computer programs
• Must have and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License
