Description
The purpose of this position is to help the local high school juniors and seniors take classes at Piedmont Community College for free. This position helps recruit, advise, and register all eligible homeschool, public and private school students. This position is also responsible for keeping and maintaining a positive relationship with the local school boards.
Essential Duties
- Manages a caseload of about 200 students.
- Conducts meetings with students in all grade levels to inform them of the Career and College Promise program.
- Prepares packets for students to fill out and return to Piedmont Community College.
- Reviews packet information that students return.
- Reviews high school transcripts to ensure students are making progress toward high school graduation and meet the Career and College Promise requirements.
- Advises students on possible job outcomes from earning specific degrees/certificates.
- Reviews grades at the end of each semester and inputs grades into Infinite Campus for the Public School System.
- Conducts meetings with students when grades are not where they should be.
- Advises students on classes to take for upcoming semesters.
- Affords assistance with college applications and looking up degree plans, so they can transfer after their time at Piedmont Community College.

Typical Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid state driver's license.

- Physical Demands: Continuous talking or hearing; frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and gripping or feeling with hands, typing/repetitive movement. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Working Conditions: Indoor environment, outdoor environment, classroom setting.
- Health and Safety Standards: Adheres to the health and safety standards of the outside agency.
