About the role
Career Advisor with Fedcap Families is responsible for supporting participants facing barriers to economic wellbeing and seeking meaningful employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants, orient them to the program, and develop Career Plans.
- Build trust and provide individualized services to participants using various engagement styles.
- Identify and refer needed support services and coordinate with other team members.
- Develop resumes, cover letters, and other employment materials.
- Provide service to all participants throughout their journey, maintaining a non-judgmental approach.
- Complete administrative tasks, including receiving referrals, scheduling appointments, and managing participant interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR high school diploma/GED plus equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in career services, case management, workforce development, or social services.
- High level of cultural sensitivity, knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, and understanding of equity in workforce development and employment services.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to prioritize urgent or sensitive needs.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology systems.
- Valid US Driver’s license.
Benefits
- Compensation: Minimum starting salary $46,000+, depending on experience.

- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. No nights. No weekends.
