About the role
Career Advisor at Fedcap Families, Sanford site, supporting participants facing barriers to economic wellbeing and seeking meaningful employment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants, orient them to the program, and develop Career Plans.
- Build trusting relationships and provide individualized services using various engagement styles.
- Identify and refer needed support services and coordinate effectively with other team members.
- Develop resumes, cover letters, and other employment materials.
- Provide outstanding service to all program participants, maintaining a non-judgmental approach.
- Complete administrative tasks, including receiving referrals, scheduling appointments, and documenting interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR high school diploma/GED plus equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in career services, case management, workforce development, or social services.
- High level of cultural sensitivity, knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, and understanding of equality in workforce development and employment services.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to prioritize urgent or sensitive needs.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology systems.
- Valid US Driver’s license.
Qualifications

Benefits

Pay
$46,000+, depending on experience.
