Description
Northwest Center is in search for its next Career Advisor. This role involves teaming up with leaders and HR to help employees on SourceAmerica contracts design career plans, offer coaching, and enhance job readiness. The Career Advisor will connect teams and resources to support employee success and contribute to the SourceAmerica AbilityOne program.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years in vocational or disability-support setting
- Experience working with career counseling or workforce development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong networking, communication, and case-management skills
- Valid WA drivers license, insurance, personal transportation, and acceptable 5-year driving record
- Ability to travel throughout the Puget Sound region and work a flexible schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and mentor a diverse workforce

Additional Compensation
- $5.09 Per hour
What you'll be doing
- Build, coach, and track individualized career plans
- Conduct career assessments and job-readiness training (resumes, applications, interviews)
- Support employees with education/career pathway navigation (applications, financial aid, disability services, ABLE accounts)
- Maintain timely case documentation (DQD, PEI) and prepare reports for internal review and audits
- Review disability documentation and coordinate with physicians, mental-health providers, VR agencies, and VA for AbilityOne qualification
- Aid with onboarding paperwork and HRIS access; monitor progress and participate in case reviews
- Develop community partnerships and conduct outreach to expand candidate pipelines and training opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
